The Experience

Designed for Photography

Carefully designed photographic setups create natural bird photography opportunities while giving photographers comfort, flexibility, and control in the field. Each station at Comederos en Las Nubes is shaped by species behavior, natural light conditions, and the visual balance needed to capture stronger tropical bird images in a rich tropical forest setting.

Designed by Species

Each setup is shaped according to the habits and movement of the species that use it.

Natural Perspective

Viewing angles and perch placement create more intimate eye-level perspectives.

Behavior First

Scenes are designed to encourage natural movement, posture, and interaction.

Texture & Visual Character

Branches are selected for texture, shape, bark, lianas, curves, and natural irregularity. Rather than using flat or visually neutral perches, we look for forms that add depth, movement, and distinctive visual character to every image.

Light & Distance

Light direction and working distance are carefully considered in every station. Most photographic positions begin at approximately 3 meters, with distances adapted to species size, behavior, and composition for comfort, natural perspective, and exceptional detail.

Clean Backgrounds

Background control is a fundamental part of the design process. Vegetation, trunks, and visual obstacles are carefully managed to create cleaner backgrounds that isolate the subject and strengthen photographic results.

Evolving Scenes

No two sessions feel exactly the same. Changing light, movement, behavior, and evolving setups create new photographic opportunities throughout the day, allowing each visit to feel personal and visually unique.

Imagine quiet hours surrounded by tanagers, toucans, hummingbirds, and elusive forest species moving through carefully designed light and space — each photographic moment shaped with intention.
